She graduated in 1994 from l’École des métiers des Faubourgs with a degree in Design and Clothing Techniques. Over the next 5 years, she acquires various working experience in the Clothing Industry as well as with a Quebec Designer. Since the launching of her first collection in the fall of 2002, Mylène Bélair, the designer behind the Mylène B label, has never since ceased to amaze and delight Montreal’s fashion hub. As of May 2004, Mylène now greets her clientele at her very own boutique/workshop at 501, De Castelnau street East, in the Villeray sector of Montreal. In 2006, her clothing line is sold in various boutiques throughout Canada. In October 2007, she is taking part, for the third time, in The Montreal Fashion Week.

The readers of La Presse, Voir, ICI, The Gazette, Fashion Magazine, Loulou, Elle Quebec, Adorable, Châtelaine and the Montreal Shopping Guide have also had the opportunity to view Mylène’s apparel.

Her talent and accomplishments have, undeniably, been recognized since she is a member of 1000 Women of Montreal, a project that honors exceptional women of Quebec.
